The playwrights Rolf Hochhuth and Thomas Bernhard were born in 1931. But they have much more in common than their year of birth. Both were considered difficult artistic personalities throughout their lives and were repeatedly accompanied by scandals. In their works they share the major themes: life/death, politics, religion and National Socialism.
On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of Rolf Hochhuth's death, Lutz Blochberger and Ludwig Blochberger will come to the beautiful Ekhof Theater Ekhof-Theater nach Gotha. In ihrem szenisch-musikalischen Programm »HOLZTHEATER« lesen/spielen Vater und Sohn ausgewählte Texte beider Autoren im Auftrag der Ilse Holzapfel-Stiftung. Hochhuths Schauspiel und Welterfolg “Der Stellvertreter“ fehlen darin ebenso wenig wie Bernhards Skandalroman „Holzfällen“. Als musikalische Begleitung singt und spielt Ludwig Blochberger auf der Gitarre.
