Website and hosting

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you access it, data processed includes your IP address, the time of access, the requested page or file, browser and operating system information and, where applicable, the referring page. The purposes are to deliver the website and detect faults and attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.

According to STRATO, visitors’ IP addresses are stored for a maximum of seven days to detect and prevent attacks. The access logs supplied to website operators contain anonymised IP addresses, according to the provider. This period applies to that security-related processing, not to all data processed by other services. Further information: STRATO privacy information.

Contact and booking

When you contact us, we process your email address, the content of your message and any information you provide voluntarily in order to respond to your enquiry. Contract-related enquiries are handled under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; other enquiries are handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in communication under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, work together. Statutory retention requirements and the establishment or defence of legal claims may require longer storage. Further use is then restricted to those purposes.

The newsletter provides updates on Ludwig Blochberger’s new projects, artistic work and performance dates. Only your email address is required to subscribe. You will receive an email containing a confirmation link. Your subscription is completed only after you confirm it (double opt-in). Subscription and confirmation times, along with technical verification data, are processed to document your registration.

The newsletter is sent on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the newsletter or by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. Providing your address is voluntary; without it, we cannot send you the newsletter.

The mailing provider is Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, USA, an Intuit company). Data processed includes your email address, subscription status, consent information and mailing data, including in the USA. Mailchimp’s data processing terms describe the bases for international transfers, including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and supplementary standard contractual clauses. Your address is used to send the newsletter for as long as you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, it may no longer be used for this purpose. Necessary records of consent or suppression records used to honour your unsubscribe request are retained only for verification and objection-related purposes. Their retention depends on the need for the relevant evidence and statutory limitation or retention periods. Unsubscribing does not mean that all verification data is deleted immediately.

Open tracking, click tracking and plain-text click tracking are disabled for future newsletters. Ludwig Blochberger therefore does not analyse, on an individual basis, who opens the newsletter or clicks particular links. No additional consent for such performance tracking is requested.

This is separate from Mailchimp’s technical processing for delivery and protection against abuse or harmful links. Even when performance tracking is disabled, Mailchimp may redirect links through its own servers and process data in doing so. Disabling tracking therefore does not mean that Mailchimp processes no data when emails are sent or links are opened. Further details are provided in the provider’s privacy information linked above.

Visitor statistics with Plausible

This website uses Plausible Analytics, provided by Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia, for aggregate visitor statistics. These include page views, referring pages, browser, operating system, device type and the approximate geographical origin of visits. The purpose is to understand which content is used and how the website can be improved.

According to the provider, Plausible does not use cookies, the browser cache or local storage for this purpose. The IP address and browser identifier are used to generate an identifier that changes daily; the raw data is not stored, according to the provider. No persistent, cross-website visitor profiles are created. Visitor data is processed within the EU. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is audience measurement that minimises personal data use. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small pieces of data stored in your browser. Similar information can be stored in local storage. Storage or access that is technically necessary for expressly requested functions takes place under section 25(2), no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). Other operations requiring consent need your prior consent. Where personal data is involved, the GDPR legal bases specified for the relevant processing also apply.

Consent management with Complianz: The cookies cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_functional and cmplz_banner-status store your choices and the version of the consent notice. Each is configured to last for up to 365 days. The purpose is to respect your choices without asking you again on every visit. The legal basis for managing and documenting personal consent data is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with the obligation to demonstrate consent.
Light/dark mode: The local storage entry “theme” saves your display preference. It has no fixed technical expiry date and remains until the website data is changed or deleted in your browser. The purpose is to restore your chosen display mode; the legal basis for any associated processing of personal data is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can change or withdraw the available consents under Cookie settings . This does not affect processing that has already taken place. You can also delete or restrict cookies and website data in your browser. This may remove saved preferences.

Fonts and external media

Fonts are loaded from our own web server. No connection to Google Fonts is established for this purpose.

The showreel is provided by Schauspielervideos.de GmbH, Brunnenstraße 29, 10119 Berlin, Germany. The external player is loaded only when you select “Accept all” in the consent banner, allow “External media” in the cookie settings, or expressly give stored consent on the showreel page. The provider receives, in particular, your IP address and browser information; additional usage data may be generated during playback. Complianz stores your choice, together with the consent version, in the cmplz_marketing cookie for up to 365 days. On subsequent visits, the player loads immediately on the showreel page if valid consent is present. You must choose again after consent expires, browser data is deleted or the consent information changes materially. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, section 25(1) TDDDG. You may withdraw it at any time under Cookie settings or directly below the player by selecting “Withdraw consent for external media”. The locally stored teaser images for the shows link to external videos. Links to YouTube, Filmmakers, venues and social media profiles lead to the respective provider. That provider’s privacy information applies when you open those services.

Social media profiles

Information about Ludwig Blochberger’s artistic work is shared on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. When you send messages or post comments, the content and profile information you provide are processed for communication. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries.

The platform operators also process data for their own purposes, such as running the platform and analysing usage, potentially outside the EU. The joint controllership agreement with Meta applies to Facebook Page Insights. You may exercise your rights both with the relevant provider and with us in relation to our own processing.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes data protection law. For example, you may contact the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information .
