Kabul: German TV premiere

Starting July 20, 2026, the international series "Kabul" will be available on the ZDFmediathek. The free-to-air TV premiere begins on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 10:15 p.m. on ZDF.

The series tells the story of the dramatic fall of Kabul in the summer of 2021: as the Taliban rapidly retake Afghanistan, diplomats, soldiers, and families fight for survival and a final way out of the city.

The European co-production features, among others, Jonathan Zaccaï, Darina Al Joundi, Shervin Alenabi, Gianmarco Saurino, Jeanne Goursaud, Eric Dane, and Ludwig Blochberger.

Kabul

The miniseries Kabul will celebrate its world premiere in the international competition of SERIES MANIA. The festival will take place from March 21 to 28, 2025, in Lille.

A World Divided: 1939-1962

The six-part documentary drama series A World Divided tells the stories of real lives between the years 1939 and 1962. Ludwig Blochberger appears in two episodes as Rudolf Hoess.
